students are working in pairs or groups of threes to write reader’s theatre scripts. They’ve been coming up with some pretty crazy ideas, but are having a lot of fun. One group is a doctor and patient, and I think there may be a mock surgery involved. Another group of three is working on a script with a zombie as one of the characters. Next week they’re going to get to perform the scripts and I’ll videotape them. I think I’m going to have the class watch each video the next day and have them reflect, giving postive feedback and suggestions for each group. In writing they’re going to choose which skit was their favorite and explain why. It’ll be a good way for them to practice using the 4-square strategy we’ve been working on to organize their writing.
